Why Drupal?
Most of the sites I build are using a platform called Drupal. It's an open source content management platform powering millions of websites and applications. It’s built, used, and supported by an active and diverse community of people around the world.
If you want a search-engine-friendly, scalable website, you should be using a content management system rather than building sites with plain HTML pages or Dreamweaver templates.
A content management system:
- generally stores your content in a database
- keeps the design of the site separate from the content
- allows you to update pieces of the site such as the header, footer, and menu in one place, not on every individual page of the website.
Good content management systems allow non-technical users add and edit the content without needing to know any HTML or Web design knowledge.
That means you can add and edit content on your own site!
