Carolyn's Paintings Website on Drupal Gardens
Carolyn Kinnison is a local artist from Howell, MI, who specializes in mixed media art and illustration. She needed a website she could easily manage, to both sell and display her many works of art. Drupal Gardens allows her to add images to photo galleries and update the site with upcoming shows. Users can actually purchase artwork directly from the site via a simple e-commerce tool called Cashie.
The site theme features original artwork by Carolyn. The menu is still utilizing the dynamic menu system within Drupal Gardens and is still editable by the client. I simply used absolute positioning within the CSS to create the playful tree-like menu. The front page slideshows also features the transparent .png overlay method I described in this blog post.
